A backend role, a platform role, a team-lead role — and the same CV for all of them. Each posting asks for something different, but your CV tells the same story every time and leaves the reader to do the matching. Most won't.
Tailor Your CV to Every Job Description

Paste the job ad — see your match in seconds
Paste the job description — and, if you like, the role and the company. The matcher compares it with your CV and shows you:
- A match score from 0 to 100, with a one-line verdict.
- Your strengths: CV evidence that fits a specific requirement.
- Your gaps: requirements your CV doesn't show yet.
- The missing keywords: skills and tools from the ad that your CV never mentions.
Keyword stuffing is how CVs start lying
The usual advice is to copy the ad's keywords into your CV. Done carelessly, it produces a CV that claims skills you don't have — and falls apart at the first interview question.
Rewrites that re-frame, never fabricate
You get 2–5 concrete rewrites: the line as it reads now, and the same line in the posting's language. They re-frame what you really did; they never add experience you don't have. If the job wants ten years of something and your CV shows one, that goes under gaps — not into a rewrite. Nothing on your CV changes until you apply a suggestion yourself.
Tailoring your only CV breaks it for the next job
Bend your only CV toward a data role today, and tomorrow's backend application goes out bent toward data. Keeping versions in files called “CV_final_v7” is how the wrong one gets sent.
A separate CV for each kind of role
On Standard and Premium you can keep several CVs in one account — up to 3 on Standard, up to 10 on Premium. Start a new one by copying the sections you want from your main CV, then apply the matcher's rewrites by hand or by telling the assistant. Each CV has its own content and its own twin page, so every application links to the right version.
How to tailor yours
- Copy the full text of the job description from the posting.
- Open the JD Matcher, paste it and run the match.
- Apply the rewrites you agree with, re-run to see the score move, and write a cover letter for the same posting.
The job-description matcher is part of the Premium plan — see pricing.
Questions about matching your CV to a job
Does it change my CV automatically?
No. It suggests; you decide. Apply the rewrites you agree with in the editor or through the assistant — nothing on your CV changes until you do.
Can I paste a link to the job ad?
Paste the text of the job description itself — anything from a short ad to a very long posting. Links aren't opened; copying the text makes sure the matcher sees exactly what you see.
How is this different from the ATS score?
The ATS score checks your CV on its own; the matcher checks it against one specific posting. Use the ATS score to get your CV in shape, and the matcher before each application.
What does it cost?
The matcher is part of Premium, which also lets you keep up to 10 separate CVs. Standard lets you keep 3 — see pricing.
